DAC BIET DINNER

Our version of a tasting menu.

The Vietnamese words “Dac Biet” translate to “special” in English, and are traditionally shown on menus in Vietnamese restaurants to highlight house specialties (such as a pho dac biet). At Falansai, the Dac Biet is not any one dish but an entire experience, and the best way to experience our ethos of feeding you delicious food.

WHAT IS DAC BIET?

A complete dining experience that will the most exciting seasonal products from our favorite farms, butchers, and fishmongers. The plates are meant to be shared family style, and eaten together with an abundance of house pickles, ferments, and sauces. Flavors and cooking techniques reflect Chef Eric’s heritage as a Vietnamese-Mexican American. There will be fancy bites, and wholesome bites, and definitely no boring bites.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

We utilize farms & purveyors from the East Coast and every experience will be tailored unique to your table. We offer Dac Biet to gluten-free guests and pescetarians at this time. We hope to be able to capture all other dietary restrictions in the future. If you have any other dietary restrictions in your party, no worries. We can make an exception on the full table participation & accommodate these diners with offerings from our a la carte selections.

WHAT IS ON THE MENU?

We take a departure from the Western style of coursed dining, and practice an Eastern style of family dining where food flows unrestricted by boundaries. We encourage you to make your own perfect bites.
